Our story begins in 1957 with Robert E. Lee, Sr. and the establishment of Lee and Roe, which provided concrete construction services in the Chicagoland area. The business’ success led to the expansion of services to include excavation in 1979. By 1984, many of Bob’s sons were eager to get working and Robert E. Lee & Sons was incorporated. The company continued to meet the concrete and excavation needs of the Chicagoland and in the early 2000s expanded their operation to demolition services.
Today, Robert E. Lee & Sons Concrete Construction is a family-owned and operated concrete construction company comprised of 14-18 employees, eight of them second generation Lees. We perform several hundred jobs per year, ranging from private residential to industrial specialty, with churches and schools in between. While we generally serve the Chicago area, you can find our work as far as Michigan, Indiana and Wisconsin.
